Hey folks, here's the finished version of that Magik pin-up.

I'm pretty happy with it. I think it's fair to say that I tore this shit up!
What do you guys think? To let you in on a bit about my personal aesthetics, I am not a fan of a lot of photo-realistic art styles. I don't like the glossy feel and all the shines, and part of me cringes that this piece kinda looks like a foil-embossed Topps card. Part of the reason I made this was 1) to because I am bored of my personal style, 2) have a hankering to draw monsters, and most importantly, 3) I didn't think I could. Evolution!
I also took it a step further and I kinda like how dramatic the lighting got. Is it too much tho? Should I have kept it like the above version? What do you guys think?

UPDATE:
Just talked to AJ, and he gave me some good feedback about how everything seemed to be on the same plane, so I just uploaded these 2 new ones for consideration. Actually, I can give all the credit to AJ for actually kicking my butt into this exploration, so kudos to him for the push.

I added a darker overlay behind the main figure to push her up front more for this version.
And for <lj user="jetwolf">, I pushed the background deeper, but kept Magik's figure lighter. Does this color solution better for you?
